These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Renoir mobile application ("App") operated by Renoir ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Renoir. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms.
You must create an account to use Renoir. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact us immediately at support@renoir.life.
You may delete your account at any time from Settings > Delete Account. Account deletion is permanent and removes all your data, including trips, notes, messages, and uploaded files. This action cannot be undone.
Renoir offers a paid subscription ("Renoir Pro") with additional features. Subscription options and pricing are displayed in the App.
Subscriptions are billed through Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). By subscribing, you agree to the payment terms of the respective platform. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at the confirmation of purchase.
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual) unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
You can cancel your subscription at any time:
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to Pro features until then. No refunds are provided for partial periods.
If you reinstall the App or switch devices, you can restore your subscription using the "Restore Purchase" option on the subscription screen.
We may change subscription prices. Price changes take effect at the start of the next billing period following notice. Your continued subscription after a price change constitutes acceptance.
You retain ownership of content you create on Renoir, including trips, notes, photos, and comments ("Your Content"). By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute Your Content within the App in accordance with your visibility settings.
You control who can see Your Content through visibility settings (Public, Followers Only, or Private). Public content is visible to all users of the App.
You agree not to post content that:
There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. We reserve the right to remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these guidelines.
We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms or that we deem inappropriate, without prior notice. Users can report content that violates these guidelines using the report feature available throughout the App.
Renoir uses artificial intelligence (powered by Anthropic's Claude) to generate trip itineraries, parse travel content, and provide recommendations. AI-generated content is provided "as-is" for informational purposes only.
AI-generated itineraries, location information, cost estimates, and recommendations may contain inaccuracies. You are responsible for verifying all information before relying on it for travel plans.
AI features may be subject to usage limits based on your subscription plan. We may adjust these limits at any time.
When you use AI features, the information you provide (text, images, preferences) is sent to Anthropic for processing. You will be asked for explicit consent before any data is sent. See our Privacy Policy for details.
You agree not to:
The App, including its design, code, branding, and features (excluding Your Content), is owned by Renoir and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the App.
If you provide feedback or suggestions about the App, we may use them without any obligation to you.
The App allows you to follow other users, send messages, like and comment on content, and share trips. You are responsible for your interactions with other users.
You can block other users from interacting with you. Blocking removes all follow relationships between you and the blocked user.
You can report users, content, comments, or messages that violate these Terms. We will review reports and take appropriate action, typically within 24 hours.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Renoir is a trip planning tool. We do not provide travel services (transportation, accommodation, tours). We are not responsible for any travel arrangements you make based on information in the App. Always verify travel information with official sources.
We do not guarantee that the App will be available at all times or free from errors. We may suspend or discontinue the App at any time without notice.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RENOIR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR USE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $50, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
You agree to indemnify and hold Renoir harmless from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes through the App. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of California.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Renoir regarding the App.
